The x1 has not been sold out in most areas for a long long time, even in the US  a tonne is sitting on shelves. It's more then price, ps3 was more expensive, Playstation is a bigger brand World wide period.

Playstation is a bigger brand? That is why according to Seece the X360 is still technically ahead of PS3 or recently passed? Only worldwide because Sony owns Japan. Microsoft cannot get a foothold.

And yes, as I said. Price Matters. PS3 was more expensive and it took many price drops for people to finally push it over the 360. Plus as we said....Japan.

 

Anyways, price is a big factor. 500 bucks is a lot of freaking money, Man!

He's not arguing with you for the sake of arguing, he's arguing because you are wrong.  And I have to laugh at you suggesting he is just going by the areas around him, when that is exactly what you did.  You stated most areas as if it was fact, when it is far from a fact.  Even by MS's own estimates there was ~900K Xbox Ones in the supply chains or "on selves" at the end of 2013.  That is hardly sold out in most regions.

It's such a bad article; it doesn't even mention the fact that this offer was also for the 360. And how is this trade in any way different from trading the console in to gamestop for a percent off on the Xbox or PS4.

How is every point wrong?  If anything, they are ALL right.  Having it on PC and (especially) 360 will definitely take away sales from the One version.  Not sure if it is because it is a cross gen title or not, but graphically speaking it isn't that far ahead of last gen.  Not sure how you can say the 3rd point is wrong, as its a fact, not an opinion.  And the last part may not happen for Titanfall's release, but that is why he stated it could happen. 

And true it was for both consoles, but if I remember correctly the big pic ad they put out only mentioned the PS3.  And he is correct that the other ads MS has been coming out with lately are just immature.  I always have a good laugh at the Scroogled ones.  As if MS has any room to talk, since they were the first ones implicated in the NSA scandal AND, more importantly, I would bet they use customer's info in the exact same way Google does.

the last point made says could in it, as in the writer is speculating based on past events. You just say he is wrong, based on?

Okay after reading the second paragraph it's clear you didn't read the portion of the OP how they say it isn't different from trading it in but doing that with a bit of public jabbing at their rivals in the market.

I didn't feel like going through evry point. He's wrong in that Titanfall, as far as we know, is running on Microsoft's Azure servers. And furthermore - an online multiplayer shooter that requires an online connection is expected. It's not like Sim-City, where the game is an offline game that requires an online connection.

Also, I was talking about the promotion that Gamestop ran last holiday season. "Trade in a console or a game and get an extra (however much) % off on an Xbox One or PS4."

I don't know if this matter but saw a lot of Xone's "price cut" deals these days on internet(N4G,Neogaf,Etc...) but not for PS4.

This could mean that there is a lot o Xone on shelves that nobody wants?

Yeah. Nintendo is not even considered by many people in the console war. Who would have thought they will be in this situation after the success of wii?


Not if you count the success of the wii an anomaly. Nintendo did blow 3 ou 4 consoles comercially.
