Sony, obviously.

If you look at it purely in a gaming market sense, Nintendo has billions to bleed through and a handheld market they dominate. Sony is in financial trouble and that could really affect their gaming division. Look at the losses they suffered with PS3 and even the start of the PS2 gen.

Outside of gaming, Nintendo still has billions of dollars in str8 cash homie sitting in the bank, so they are good. Sony could also be ok here. Even if they have to shed off every division but one, they make tons of money selling life insurance.

Nintendo went from having about $10B in 2008 to about $5.5B in the space of 5 years. Needless to say, this will only get worse unless they can come up with something new.

Kind of surprised anyone voted for MS, chances of them going bankrupt are slim to none. Nintendo isn't doing as bad as people are making out. Sony though, do I really need to say anything? Sold the PC division and firing another 5,000 employees. So much for Kaz being the savior of Sony.

Both.
But I do feel that Sony has a bigger trouble to deal with.

Sorry but, its not 5.5 billion is actually 8.6 billion not sure where you got that number from.

Nintendo is 10 years behind their competition, they will need to spend that money to catch up and there still is no guarantee of success. I would say nintendo, sony isnt doing great but they are turning it around.

The ones who say Nintendo are fanboys. Nintendo is a gaming company and only that. Sony is a multi billion dollar company with lots of buildings they can sell and big money making divisions.

As a company as a whole, Sony is in a much dire situation, but their game division can survive if they don´t bleed it out to save other parts.

Nintendo can survive as a game publisher and developer, and handheld consoles for kids, but not as a tech company.

Apple has used that strategy with their iOS to great effectiveness.  Sure, they're not a gaming company, but there are parallels to be drawn.  Nintendo's recent execution of the strategy has been terrible.  They put forward their hardware and expected software to follow, instead of leading with the software.  Software and hardware do belong together BUT software must lead the charge.

Disagree. Apple does the OS, but their sucess is based on an enviroment created to be as friendly as possible to 3rd party app developers. They invented the easier and cheaper way to a dev create and publish its work in a platform. There are no parallels here, they are the exact opposite of Nintendo. They are more like Sony and MS in the way they try to make things easier to their developers.
