Damn people... can there not be a positive Wii U thread without any mudslinging? Yes, we know that chances are low for good sales so there's no need for those stupid comments. Worry about your own damn console.

Which buttons does Vita lack? |
Really, I have to tell YOU of all people?.... Ok, I'll answer your question, with a question, and your answer will answer both... Does the vita have all the buttons of a dual shock 4?....
because I'm assuming the vita will be used as a controller for the game, like the wiiu, or unless it's going to be used more like smart glass, which is even worse. There ya go!

Vita has just as many buttons as the Wii tablet. The character in the game uses a phone to do his bidding for the most part, looking down at your own phone as a separate form of control is arguably more fitting to the gameplay, either way you have to look away from the screen and take one hand off of the controller to perform any additional input. I suspect however, that whatever I or anyone else say, no matter how much sense it makes, you're going to side with the WiiU version regardless, so this discussion ends here. |
First of all, the wiiu has 4 shoulder buttons, and you really think the integrated screen is the same thing as a seperate phone or tablet? To do anything on it, to you, it's better to have to put the controller down, pick up the phone or tablet to do what the game wants, vs having the screen already in your hand, and using one hand or your thumb while still holding the controller, without having to put it down? Come on man, please. And no, I'm kind of a graphics who're, and most likely will buy it for my ps4, so there goes that argument too. But trying to say a seperate phone is "more fitting" is a laugh. Im just saying that this is one case where the wiiu controller actually seems a perfect fit. If you look at my post history, you'll see I'm one that says I think that the wiiu controller is largely useless, so you can keep your presumptions.
Its funny how someone can be interested in a game that seems to be a perfect fit for the wiiu, and people will actually try to sell a generic, cumbersome knock off as if it's as good or better, what a joke! So unless they do take great advantage of the wiiu controller and knock it out of the park, I'll most likely get it for my shiny new ps4, sorry if I upset you with a slightly positive post about the wiiu....
I really want to believe that Watch Dogs will be on Wii U, but I still wouldn't call it 100% confirmed. Here's hoping Ubisoft gives us a straight answer soon.

Wiiu has two shoulder buttons and two triggers, touchpad on rear of vita can be used in place of the triggers.
regardless of if the wiiu gamepad is in your hand or not, you still need to do two things to use it.
1) look away from the tv
2) take one hand off of the controller to actually use the touchscreen effectively (sorry but reaching over with your thumb isnt a viable option for everyone nor is it an effective one.)
as such the screen being a part of the controller and not a difference device only offers one piece of convenience, proximity, however the downside is it cannot offer what a mobile device offers, portability, which is being used by the developers to allow you to interact with the game even when away from your console with the console turned off.
My issue has nothing to do with the WiiU and everything to do with you labeling any solution used that is not the WiiU as a "knockoff" with seemingly little to know knowledge of how the game interacts with these devices.
If anything, porting such things to the WiiU gamepad rather than a mobile device becomes the knockoff, because what you end up with is a crippled cut down version of what other console versions would have.

Mobile/smartglass players can even play against console players FROM THEIR MOBILES without being anywhere near their console.
"knockoff"? female-dog please.

Yup, like I said, the vita lacks buttons. You can put virtual buttons on an iPhone too, does that make it better than a real controller? how's that workin out? Any thing you do on a phone with the game, like you touching the screen, is, yes you guessed it, what they will do on the wiiu screen... Amazing right? Look it's obvious you have some real dislike for the wiiu.... That's fine. But to actually try to say that having a seperate screen in your lap, makes the wiiu the knockoff? Wow man, you are amazing. And you may look away from the screen, yes, but you don't have to reach over for your phone or tablet! With the wiiu, you're already holding the damn thing!
And who cares what you think of my opinion of smart glass and the other knock offs out there? I stated my opinions, and you come running to tell me my opinion is somehow wrong?! What is your problem? Is it that someone had something positive to say about the wiiu? That's sure what it seems like, and I'm sure it is. You're upset that I call those knockoffs? But then you turn around and call the first console to standardize it the knockoff? I'm sorry but you entire response to me oozes with ignorance.Your argument is so empty it's not even worth the effort... And you're last words on your post show you immaturity. Good night!

1) Really, so you can take your wiiu gamepad out of the house and have it still work? because neither of my two wiiu consoles can.
2) Yes, I hate the WiiU so much I only bought two consoles and most of it's software library, right?
3) The game centers around a character who uses a mobile phone and tablet devices to hack the security system of the city he is in, there are gameplay elements which can be installed to your own phone or tablet to continue the gameplay while not at home, if this functionality is ported to the wiiu gamepad, then it WILL be a knock-off because you are tied to the range of the consoles link to the gamepad.
4) Because moving your arm slightly and picking up another device, or turning off the console and playing it on the mobile you would be carrying with you anyway is SUCH a pain in the ass right?
5) It's called a forum, by nature it's purpose is to debate, if you don't want to debate your opinions don't share them, it's as simple as that.
6) See 2.
7) Let's see now, they make a game that uses cell phones for hacking, they then use that idea and add support for mobile devices, then they decide, "hey we should probably use the wiiu screen for something similar since we probably wont be getting mobile functionality in", which of these two sounds "standadized" to you?, which of those sounds like the cut down version?
8) and yet here you are, writing long responses to it, Cute.

Listen kid, you said my opinion bothered you... I don't care. I won't be playing that crappy little phone game on the go... And it won't be a popular feature, you can quote me on that, and after the games come out, throw it in my face if I'm wrong... Otherwise, stick it.... And you're not "debating" my opinion, you are calling it wrong. You said it bothered you(who cares what bothers you, I didn't ask for your approval), my opinion is mine alone, it's fine to say why you think your opinions, but you just come off a bit... Pompous. So next time, I'll ask you if it's ok if I post my opinion, so it won't bother you.... Oh, wait! I forgot that I couldn't care less if you're bothered! Now move along, and play with the dog you mentioned earlier.

This is what happens when you get too emotionally attached to certain platforms, you have my sympathies.

It's good you recognize you have a problem, that's the first step to recovery! Good for you!
