We don't know. AC III sales was enough to release Black Flag. And we're talking about only 300k
Handhelds are noticeable by their absence. Good news for Wii U only owners though. Watch Dogs looks very promising.

I don't think it was so much that ACIII sales were good enough to release Black Flag, as Ubi just hadn't given up yet. Ubi has been the staunchest 3rd party supporter of Wii U, which I appreciate them for. But NIntendo fans have a huge history of complaining if things dont' come out on their home console, and then not getting 3rd party games in large numbers when they do.

well apparently only $1,5mil is enough to port a game for Wii U. So if they sell more than 100k is ok. But probably they just didn't give up... yet

It only cost Ubisoft €1m to port Assassin's Creed III so it wouldn't need to sell that much to make a profit.
