So is it 6 worlds + bonus worlds or 6 worlds including the bonus worlds?

I mean numbering wise Super Mario 3D World had 6 worlds, and then the Castle World and Bowser World to get credits to roll (8 worlds). But then it also had bonus worlds like Toad, Flower, Star, and whatever they called the very last bonus one that only had 3 levels including the insanely difficult Champion Road.
