Still way too expensive though. And released the same day as inFamous. It's like they're trying to sabotage themselves.

I swear it was £40 when I looked at that link about 3 hours ago.

You're right though, STILL too expensive.

Their explanation was not only stupid but insulting. Implying MGS games have good writing. Rubbish. Not going to bother with this game at all now. Shame, was looking forward to Keifers VO.

He lost me when he said that Dear Esther was a masterpiece.

My new sig is perfect for this thread.

I really want to play this on PS4....I agree $40 isn't justified. I will have to wait on this.

Way too expensive pricing for 2 hours of gameplay

as much as I love the series and its devs, this is just not cool.

Not sure I get what Kojima is trying to say here. Like it or not bang for the buck matters, and 2 hours no matter how good is terrible, and lets not make out like ground zeroes will be GOTG. The price is too high.

i just saw a video somewhere on youtube unfortunatly i cant find it again, but this is essentially a prologue, you know the part of the game that was included in MGS2,3,4 its the first few missions of the game to get you in the swing of things. My thought is Konami must need money or they think their fans are dumb, youll essentially end up paying 100$ for the full game. really has me thinking that MGS5 is costing them to much and they need a way to make some money to soften the blow.

I don't care how long it is,I want this demo,I mean game. I'm just that much of a fan.

Apparently some people think that price needs to be proportional to length and thus would assume this game should be no greater than $10, give or take. Of course, that would produce many difficulties of its own as some games can be beaten in 6-8 hours while others can take dozens of hours, plus there's the question of whether or not a game has a multiplayer mode. Personally, I'm fine with the $30 ($20 for digital) price tag, and I wish there were more short games with high production values that retailed for $20-30 and had a physical release. Of course, I grew up in an era where not only did games cost a lot more (early 90s 16-bit titles ran for $80-120 in 2013 dollars), but also pretty much every game except a JRPG could be beaten in a couple of hours. I think by and large gamers have become spoiled by modern game lengths. If they were transported back to the early 90s, they would have a freak out over "games that are too short and too expensive."

back then games were just as short, but they were much harder. there was no hand holding and in alot of games very little continues are none at all. lol
