its needs to have more then just indies , betas and boring MMO thats available currently. Needs big games like 1886,uncharted and many more games alike.

The PS2 had an incredible lineup of exclusives that the PS4 just can't match. I do think the PS4 has the potential to sell 100m+ depending on how long this gen goes on, but no home console will ever match the PS2.

I don't think any console will ever top the PS2. 6th generation was a total domination in favor of sony, because they had an incredible first-party and a lot of third-party exclusives that they loss this gen (Kingdom hearts, FF, Metal gear, fightning games, etc).
Right, there are a few favorable things too. Sony has now more studios (QD, Sucker Punch, Media Molecule), PS+, the best price and hardware, the PS brand is a lot stronger than late years. Still, can't see them matching PS2 sales, but it has the potencial to sell 110-115 million, or that's what I believe.

If everything stays the same, I think it's already on its way. Or Microsoft could turn things around and steal the show, Nintendo could do the same, and Sony could play like the broncos. Anything is possible. Even 300 million sales!

Are you kidding? PS4 has not won on games yet, not even with Indies included. It still needs tons more games. It'll probably get them though. If it goes on to not only sell more hardware, but also more software, I would call the king solidly dethroned. As it stands, Sony systems haven't always been the biggest software pushers, mostly just hardware pushers. If it manages to sell at least 160 mil consoles and 2 bil games (about what it'd need to have the best tie-in ratio) then I'd consider it the undisputed king of consoles.

Never! PS2 had a monopoly on third party exclusives that will never happen again as long as ms has the wallet open.

Why are people so close minded about another PS2, sales wise? If I'm not mistaken the worlds population has grown a few billion since 2001 and will continue to rise. Now, I'm not saying the PS4 will hit PS2 numbers, or that consoles will resemble how they do now in the coming decades, but I can see a console (or what would be considered a console when it happens) to definitely beat PS2 numbers easily in the future
