The gameplay hasn't aged very well...

But if you can transport your mind back to 2002 while playing it, it won't be a problem for you...

It is among my favorite games to this very day...

Have a nice day...

Cool! So we can have a nostalgia free opinion. Go play it and tell us if its worth anything.

If nintendo iterates all their franchises just once at each console cycle, will be no drougths, thats for sure.

That's actually a good suggestion, I will do just that

"I own lots of games for GameCube and have yet to play them, could be a great opinion from somebody not nintendo obsessed and nostalgic "

Does Nintendo actually own the ED IP?

Yes and they don't do a damn thing with it. Surprsing, right?

I always thought the IP belonged to Silicon Knights. But didn't Denis Dyack say they were making an ED title before they got in that clusterfuck with Epic Games?

I know that they were making a prototype  ( just that) for Eternal Darkness 2 before they got in trouble with Epic Games, but they cancelled it.

They have the rigths on the sanity meter, but the IP belongs to nintendo. Shadows of eternatl intended to launch on PS4 and PC too, remenber?

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Actually, Nintendo owns the patent for the Sanity Meter

The kickstarted was for PC, WiiU. no?

Nope, hence why it's all spiritual sequels and stuff.  Nintendo owns the IP.
