I was planning to get the pulse elite but this honestly looks like a sweeter deal with a better price point and the interesting companion app which enchances audio specifically for each game.

Is anyone here planning on getting it? If not then what headset are you using?

I can't justify spending $100 on a headset, I can get a few games for that price.

You realise it's a lot cheaper than most headsets right?

The companion app should be the same app that the elite pulse headset has. I got the elite pulse one atm and I plan on buying the gold one for my brother but I may just get the elite one again for 15 dollars more not sure yet.

Literally from less than a minute of looking for one.

Does it have surround sound? Is it noise cancelling? Is it confortable? Does it support custom game modes? Does it support other devices? Is it wireless?

No? Then maybe it isn't worth it. I'd rather stick with the mono ear piece than buy that.

Description says it "surrounds you."  Idk what noise canceling is, but I used the headset that came with the 360 for like 5 years and I'm assuming it wasn't noise canceling and I had no problem with that.  Idk how I'm supposed to know if its comfortable since I don't own it, but you also don't know if the gold headset is comfortable.  Idk what you mean by a headset supporting custom game modes.  Yes it also works on PC, you can check the official website.  It plugs right into the controller which is in ur hands so wireless really isn't needed.

All in all way better value than paying for a headset 4x the price.  

It'll most likely be my next headset and I will sell off my Pulse elite if it gets decent reviews. It looks like it'll be the perfect blend of comfort from the first Playstation one and sound quality and features from the Pulse one. Also the build quality looks like it won't crack right above the ears like my Pulse set has. In fact the design is really cool and compact which is great if I wanted to put them in my backpack.

I want it but I just bought the Pulse Elites a month ago =( Oh well they are pretty awesome, Im sure the Golds will be just as awesome.

The single ear and microphone headsets aren't worth getting in my opinion.

These are cheap but good.  I don't know if they've been patched to work with the PS4 yet or not.
