Yeah but that's the combined figure for 360 and PS3, that's an unfair comparison between it and the top 10 games of all time as they are on single platforms. It wont affect the vgchartz lifetime sellers list, as it counts totals on single platforms.

Small thing, but I think those Mario Kart Wii numbers aren't up to date. It's at 35.26m shipped last I know of:

That guy in the front of the picture, holding the Rockstar bag and a PS3 copy of GTA V is the prototype of a nerd. The kind of figure that only exists in cartoons. I almost find him more fascinating than the sales numbers.

Why is it an unfair comparison? The only reason it hasn't been done before is (to my knowledge) no other multi-platform game has ever reached this level of sales.

More proof GTAV is TRULY the DEFINITVE GAME!!!11
Aside from the fact that GTAV bundles exist, I take no issue with the OP or GTAV's status as a good, successful game.
