They still all sell TODAY.

But they are current gen. 360/PS3/Wii are last gen.

If you go into an electronics shop, over half the items will be 'last gen'.

Because a generation is the period of time in which a set of consoles are  primary/lead systems. The 7th gen began with the launch of the 360 in 2005, and ended once all 3 were replaced in late 2013.

well thats the first time ive herd the words 'lead system' mentioned in a definition of a generation.

Anyway, how would you explain all the countries where X1 and PS4 havent been released yet?

PS4 and Xbone are out. They don't have to be out everywhere to be the new current generation of systems.
