Cool, does anyone know if Dead Island has local Multi-player? Like a split screen or something?

Really enjoy playing Laura Croft Guardian of Light together with my friends.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
