I supported MS and PS last gen and Wii U this gen so I have given my money to all 3 companies.

Why would speaking the truth be a reason to get banned?? Its just pure butthurt

Most people are going to buy it on the One anyways so why does this even matter?

So Titanfall is going to sell more on a console with a 5 million install base (Xbone) than it will on an 80 million install base (360)? loi.

So you're saying that changing textures resolution doesn't have impact on processing time ?

Pretty much. The most important thing with textures is RAM. If you have a lot of it and can fill it quickly, you can have super great textures. Only reason TF would stick with the current texture sizes is if other parts of the game are taking up too much of the RAM's resources. With 5GB, that's very unlikely.

The maps are big and the envornement is probably streamed (and by probably, i mean 99.9% chances), so they have to work it out fast, so probably going ESRAM, but they have to cut the textures first because it wouldn't fit in 32 mb, so to me, no chance they get bigger textures.

BTW a lot of RAM is not enough, it must be fast, it needs a good GPU to treat and apply them too. It's not just about the RAM.

I see you disagree, and aren't just looking for answers ;)

I have no experience making an XBOX ONE game so you might be right. You said there's "no chance they get bigger textures" so do you want to make a bet on that? One month partial sig control once the game's released? By partial I just mean a line or two of text of your choosing. I'd make you add "Oh no JoeTheBro was right! Titanfall has dem ram powa. I bow down before him"

I wouldn't bet on it, just because i don't have enough confidence in my IT knowledge right now (I'm still just a student ^_- ). Plus I know you have good knowledge on the subject (You are deving a browser based game if I remember correctly), so I won't bet on it.

I just wanted (and got) a constructive discussion about the hardware and its implication on software, and still think ESRAM will slow X1's APU capabilities.(But of course it will get better)

Actually I'm making a game for a next gen console, just not the XBONE
