Now this is a unique situation......

360 gets a "console" exclusive........or "multiplat not on PS3"

PS4 gets a "generational console" exclusive...........or "multiplat not on X1"

Wow......we both win. lol

You're both considering buying a PC game on console, you both lose.

For a master race PC gamers are very lonely....seeking to put their nose in the console wars business every chance they get.

Because clearly there is a market for console exclusives. I don't have to show you the sales of every 360/PC game throughout the generation.

I'm not a PC master race member but you'd have to PAY me to play a strategy game on a console rather than on PC.

Nevertheless, while 360/PC games have sold ok all in all, the version differences between games like Witcher 2 or Divinity 2 on the two, I still consider them only "PC" games (ok if you only saw it on 360, so much more enjoyable on PC). You should honestly consider PC more these days.

While true, many, many people are console only gamers. I bought Bioshock and loved it, didn't care that it was better on PC. The 6+ million sales of Left 4 Dead 1/2 can also attest to that.Don't want to turn this into a thread arguing about the merits of console exclusives. I just made a nice post that says both Xbox and PS gamers benefit at the same time. Pretty damn rare, if not impossible. So I hope we can leave it at that.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Admitting that it's rare for you to make a nice post.  That took guts, Sales2099.

:P

You got it

why would you want to play an RTS on a console anyways?

I think PS4's touchpad controller is an interesting development in that aspect.
AFAIK, it's resolution is very high, apparently 1920x900.
That allows for games to rely on that as a central aspect of the interface.
Pretty much putting it on par with laptop PCs with touchpads...
You can still use a mouse with PS4 also, and that may be a superior experience,
but the universal presence of a touchpad allows games to actually be built around that functionality,
compared to if it the touchpad weren't there, the game would need to work decently with just sticks/dpad.
Touchpad/mouse are basically the same control scheme, just like on PCs with mice vs. laptop touchpads.

Response time isn't a big factor in tropico's gameplay, so it doesn't matter that much whether you use a mouse or a joypad. Someone like me finds using a mouse and keyboard for gaming slightly awkward and I only use it if a game really demands it (multiplayer shooters, quick RTSs), and then you have the other conveniences of a console.

Mouse is a key feature but I had a lot of fun with Warcraft 2 and Command & Conquer on PS1... so its works.

PS. Mouse and keyboard support is a good thing on PS4.

I love the Tropico series, I've got over 100 hours on 3 and 4 according to Steam. Maybe even more on the older ones.
I hope they'll make good use of the touch pad and/or air mouse. I've tried the 360 demo but didn't like it with just a controller. Tried playing with keyboard and mouse on my lap, not comfortable. But it would be nice to play this on the couch with the relaxing tunes playing on my surround setup. No more hunching over a desk.
