Forums - Gaming - Vote in Capcom vs. Konami: A Historical Showdown from the 1980's to Today

I dont think theres any competition nowadays.

Capcom wins hands down. Konami is just a husk beeing dragged around. When metal gear solid goes down, so does the company.

Sorry, too lazy to do it per generation so i just skipped to the conclusion.

Indeed.

Even Pro is no longer the game it was.

Please excuse my bad English.

I won't really vote, but honestly my answer would have been neither in the last generation.

If I remember correctly, you are not really a fan of MGS4, right?

I'm one of those people that absolutely thinks it is bad move for the franchise, and I honestly feel bad, because I maybe the only fan to notice Kojima wanting to get out of the franchise.

The Bitch is back! And better then ever! #BritneyReturns

SONY Bring them BACK for PS4 and VITA!

Holy shit, what godlike legacies! This is hard...I'm giving it all to Capcom, but I mean no disrespect to Konami. This decision was very painful...it's so close for almost every category. The only categories I thought Capcom solidly won in were the handheld categories.

8-bit: Capcom
16-bit: Capcom
5th gen: Capcom
6th gen: Capcom
7th gen: Capcom
Pre-DS: Capcom
Post-DS: Capcom

If nobody else has any input, I can end voting early.

With Rol's input factored in, this thread is becoming dangerously close to a Capcom fan thread. Multiple people have put all their votes on Capcom. None have done the same for Konami.

And that was after you skewed the results by putting all the arcade games in the 8 and 16 bit gens, the only Capcom games I played in the 5th gen that weren't arcade ports were Resident Evil 1-3 and Dino Crisis, so I had to vote Konami!
