Well obviously you should wait till you can get a game with it. Little value in owning a console with no games. But I don't believe another price cut is coming anytime soon. $300 is already a pretty good value, considering it's $100-200 cheaper than the other systems, with pack-in games with almost every version of the system, backwards Wii compatibility and free online play. It has a lot going for it that the other consoles don't, in spite of it's (relatively, not detrimentally) weaker power. Plus the library right now is really solid, and about to get a whole lot better this year. So yeah, I'd say pretty soon is a good time to buy, as soon as you can afford a bundle.

Absolutely save up. You're only a couple hundred away from so much more value. I'm somewhat partial to Zelda, but the Mario and Luigi bundle does come with 2 games, so...it's up to you. Also, since the Wii U is Japanese, wouldn't you have to worry about the yen going up, not the dollar? Or do you mean the Brazilian dollar is inflating? Regardless, saving up is probably the better way to go. You'll probably have enough by the time Mario Kart comes out, and if they bundle that, it'll be even better for you I'd think, with good multiplayer. Still, the basic bundle is just not good enough, as far as I'm concerned. You're so close to something so much better!

... Just kidding. I would say save up even more so it's possible for you to buy more games along with it. You've waited an extremely long time it seems, might as well just wait a tad longer.

I bought mine on January 3rd. I bought the NSMBU &LU pack. In all honesty those 2 games have gotten the least play this month. Not because they are bad games. I've just had a mucccccchhhhhh better game to play. NSM3DW is so fun! That and COD ghosts with NES remix took up all my gaming time.

Save for a bundle. The demos that were available in NA this month were all lousy.

As for the deluxe vs the basic. If you can get either used for a better deal do so. The wii U uses external memory so no worries about internal memory sizes. The stand in the deluxe isn't needed.

Wait, with how bad the WiiU is doing I wouldn't be surprised if Ninty dropped the price. Plus the Library is only going to get better, if you wait for a little while there will be plenty of games to keen you entertained for months and months.

I am from Brazil also. I can understand quite well tour situation.
I sheduled to buy a wii U at the ending of 2014(when all the games will be out, and probably also a price cut)
But i found someone selling the basic version + 3 games(and some digital), + pro controler + wiimote+nunchuck for 850R$ and deliver taxes.

So, you can wait for the pricecut, and in the meanwhile, stay tunned in people selling pre-owned wii Us for a good price.
