You are not inserting the plug in all the way into the port. You have to push it in top the controller till you hear it snap or click .

| Pristine20 said: The problem I have with the DS4 is that something is wrong with the mic port. On my phone the ps4 mic works just fine. On the DS4, the plug doesn't connect like it should so I have to constantly move it around before it is recognized. Some pretty shoddy design that's kind of surprising. |

Well they said their looking into it seeing if it's a big issue or not and they said if it is there going to fix it. Not to mention if you have a controller with that problem they'll replace it as long as your in your warranty.
easily 100+ hours, Mine look fine except for 1 mark from the first week which i must have made by accident with my nail, as it hasnt gotten worse, nor have any other marks formed.
Something tells me people are way to rough on there controllers..

But what if the replaced controller has got these issues, too? As it´s the case of a friend of mine.
I sense they won´t do anything :(

They would replace it again. If it becomes a bigger issue sony will fix it.
Yeah, every console makes usually ships new controllers which differs slightly or more over time. The PS1 controllers had even more though like adding the Dual Analog (was the first one of them official?) and then the Dual Shock. Sixaxis to Dual Shock 3 is another example where they added functionality.
The Wii remote had, of course, the Motion Plus add on before they were incorporated into the main controllers as well. I'll add that the newest batches of Wii Remote Plus controllers also has some modifications; the Sync button which you previously had to open the battery cover to access, is now visible due to a hole in the controller, plus in the jacket. So modifications can either be new features, or just small edits to previous features. I don't know what an upgrade from the DS4 would be though, I don't own a PS4 yet either.
Yep.
