I would like it if nintendo got them and droped their crappy console stuff for sonys and intergrated the devs. Obs Nintendo would keep the handheld stuff going.

The problem is, it doesn't make enough revenue at this time to really pull that off.  They still have to borrow to make the PS4's.  It's not sustainable.

Remember all of Sony, because of the debt, has a similar valuation of Nintendo.  That’s Sony with PC, Movies, Handhelds, TV’s, PlayStation, Blu-rays and it’s profitable insurance division vs just Nintendo. 

It would need to be bought by something with swimming polls of money to carry it forward for a few years, or vulture capitalist that will, like a beef cow, strip it for it’s parts and sell them off.

I wonder if Disney would do it.  They still have that Apple connection.  Perhapse why they recently dumped their gaming division.  We should add Disney to the options.

Rare still makes good games.  Viva Pinata, Conker Live & reloaded, and Kameo are all fan favorites.

BK Nuts and Bolts, PDZ, and Kinect Sports are also good, just not great.

But no i dont think MSFT would ever buy PS because they wouldnt benefit from the buyout other than keeping PS from being a competitor.  They would acquire some new studios if they desired but the PS brand would not be used again as they would keep Xbox.  

Though if this were all to happen there is a good chance that each studio would be sold individually.   

I thought Nintendo had enough money to do so?  I always hear fans talking about that but i didnt know.

I think Google, Apple, or Samsung would def be the most likely.  Google and Apple has been talked about entering the industry for a long time.  Though i really dont like apple and i think if they got it they would screw the ps brand a lot

Imagine a Ratchet & Clank session in Tommorowland from Disney's Magic Kingdom *_____* I think Disney would be able to do better advertising for SONY's teen/kids focused games like Ratchet, LittleBigPlanet, Sly, etc

Lenovo, Tencent, Hasee or Xiaomi. The two last ones could probably not aquire PlayStation, they are too small still but it would be interesting. Xiaomi is still pretty new and will grow huge, no doubt about it. Bigger than Apple? Who knows. Hasee is growing and makes really good gaming PCs, it would be interesting to see them make some console also.

Lenovo or Tencent would be the most possible, from the Chinese market. They are huge, Tencent is almost as big/wealthy as Google, and they push online gaming on PC a lot. Lenovo is also a very big company that could probably afford it as well, and they have been making PC and laptops forever now.

Also Taiwanese companies like Asus or Acer would be interesting.

Other than that I would root for Nintendo, or Samsung as the OP mentioned, to keep the PlayStation brand Japanese/Asian.

They might have enough cash doubt it but if they did it would cut deeply into reserve cash stock, be a terrible idea.
