I can't believe we're still hearing cries of the Wii being a fad. It's pathetic. This thing lasted a typical console's lifespan. Just because it didn't last just as long as the 360 & PS3 doesn't somehow transform it into a short-lived fad.

No doubt, THQ also had some fire and brimstone when they were headed for the toilet.

Where I live they're everywhere. Seniors homes, daycares, etc. They're still enjoying it. Can you speak for everyone or every place for that that has a Wii and has titles that aren't game centric like Wii fit and say nobody is us using them? I know I can't. That is the super casual crowd.

back to the article, Stickly looking at the Wii he brings up good points because i too think it ws a fad. That doesnt mean the wii doesnt have great games (some of the best i might add)

That post is fine, it's more less in line with my own opinion and worded in a decent way.

He's pretty much right about everything. The only thing I would amend is that the Wii was only partially a fad. Yes, it had a great deal of people buy it who only played it a few times before shoving it under the TV, which is what being a fad means, but it also had a good number of fans who continued to play it thought its life-cycle.

Nintendo Fans are more sensible than other ones and that's how they react.They started mocking the ps vita exactly before WiiU was released cause they never expected WiiU could fail similar way but know they can stand being treated the same way.

If this interview was about vita all of the people complaining right know would say:"He is 100% right".(and he would be a liar saying something very much different)

The only thing he is wrong is that Wii was a fad-

Wii's software:hardware ratio is very high,pretty much the same level as ps360 maybe a little bit higher.This can't be a fad.

He's probably another frustraded english man tired of the rainy weather over there. Looks like they need to buy lots of expensive things to be happy. He probably should try to play a nintendo game, it would put a nice smile on is face and joy in his heart...

Pretty obvious stuff here. No one is going to try to repeat the Wii since it would be a bad idea because making a game like Wii Sports that appeals to almost everyone has a very, very high chance of flopping hard.

For Nintendo doing a bad job promoting the Wii U, It's true. I don't agree that no one wants it though. If they marketed good enough, I think it would sell great. They have games, and plenty of upcoming ones to market.
