During the Falcom Acoustic Live and Talk Show event that was held today, president Toshihiro Kondo strongly hinted that a new chapter of the Ys franchise is currently in development.
We have already seen the key visuals of the game (you can check them out at the bottom of the post), that Falcom defined a “giant” project before.
Kondo-san explained in a couple of recent interviews that it’s his intention to develop for the PS4, leading many to believe that this “giant” project will land on Sony’s new console, but no explicit mention was made of platforms or release windows for the moment. The title is still in early development and will be an action JRPG.
During the event the sequel of The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki for PS Vita and PS3 was also showcased. No new information was provided besides the official title, which will predictably be The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki II, and the fact that character animations are being redesigned from scratch.
