I found the color on the OLED vita really unnatural and high in contrast.

It is extremely natural in some cases. As in, The blues and greens are :O levels.

But some colors, looking over again, brown, orange, red, etc, are oversaturated. Like, really oversaturated.

Given the choice between the two Vitas, I would have to think about it some...

I'd rather have the OLED Screen.

I'd rather have a screen that is perhaps loses to the OLED in (most?) some cases, but wins and holds in others... while having all the other advantages.

Well... Considering how much Sony fans do it on the wiiU, I think its fair for Nintendo fans to do it on the Vita

"But Sony fans only do it because Nintendo fans did it to Vita for so long".

This is a really, really, really poor argument.

That it is but since neither side is gonna stop... it may as well continue... Unless someone has a solution that is

LCDs don't really win at anything other than being cheaper. They have some more "natural colors", which usually look washed out because always-on backlight means less contrast. What they might have a "win" is over power consumption, but that's a mixed bag, since OLEDs consume much less power when displaying darker pictures, but also consume much more when displaying white pictures.

Sony's claims for their portable hardware have so far been inline with reality - and they said up to an hour more with that LCD. Not much, but...

There is probably gonna be some wash, but I doubt it's gonna be too bad. Hell, I'd almost give 50:50 on that video comparison I found and posted. OLED wins out, but not by much, for me.

Just ignoring it is the solution.  Ignoring it and stopping it.

If you're clever enough to realise there's a problem then you're smart enough to look past it and realise what you're doing is wrong.  I genuinely believe that a lot of the people who engage in these "discussions" don't even think about any consequences of their actions and just say these things.  By posting this, you've demonstrated that you're not like that.

So if you chose to do it anyway, then what hope is there to fix anything?

Looks like the vita 2000 alongside more ports, what is there to be excited about?
