Forums - Gaming - Games that people/critics were too harsh on?

Mirror's Edge

Epic most innovative title of the last generation. I guess the critics couldn't handle that much.

Around the Network

God of War: Ascension - Some critics were too harsh, disappointing but not bad/average. Great 8.5/10 game.

DmC - People were too harsh but critics were far too generous just because people were being so harsh. Great 8/10 game.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Some critics and people were harsh, 'it's not Castlervania' or 'God of War rip off!'... Amazing 9.5/10 game.

God of War III - Yes, I know that it averaged 93% but I feel that if some critics didn't keep knocking points off for it being similar to its predecessor then it would've been a 95%+ game.`Masterful 10/10 game.

Showing some hack 'n slash love!

i also prefered playing with a controller other than a wii mote

Playing Smash with the wii mote?

its the only controllers we had at work for the wii

Deadly Premonition - I blame the bad box art for the bad reviews
Halo Wars - it actually controlled very well and overall really fun
Age of Empires II: HD Edition - Other than the netcode being totally horrid and the misleading name (should've been called Widescreen edition), most reviewers complained on how HD it wasn't, gave it a 5/10 and called it a day.

Mario Kart Wii.

How the heck did it average 82 from reviewers? It was practically perfection.

Deadly Premonition

I <3 you

Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Seriously. It deserved more than 55 meta and all that hate. Sure it launched buggy as fuck but even today people talk about it like it's still buggy, which isn't true. 1 month after the game launch it was totally playable and a lot of fun. Distinguishable multiplayer, good classes and scorestreaks, nice game modes, good maps, good graphics, etc. Campaign sure wasn't that good but I've never seen THAT lot of hate just because of a singleplayer FPS campaign.

Deadly Premonition. I know that people love it (like myself!), but I still hear people say the gameplay is bad. Well, folks, I disagree!
