- My company's A level games did not sell my console of choice but their B and C level games sure will.
- When my company is on top, 3rd parties are not innovative and are not needed. When my console is regulated to last place, its 3rd parties fault.
-When my competitors consoles are declining, its because their brand is out of favor, when my gaming console of choice is declining, people do not understand gaming and I am rooting for a industry crash.
-When my console of choice is failing, its all good, ill just go off topic and talk about the individual personally.
-I use past sales and earnings to rebuff the current standing of my competitors.

im sure there is a lot im leaving out.

This is so true. I'm tired of hearing this all over the Internet.

So am I.  So many people do it that I've contemplated beginning every post I make with "I think" and end every post with "in my opinion" as redundant as that may be.

Legendary post!

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

When a handheld is outselling a home console, you are not allowed to compare those system's sales. If it's the other way around, you are.

I would say when your companies handheld is outselling one you do not like, those sales are important(Vita outsells Wii U) but if its the other way around it doesnt count(3DS outselling PS4) and that applies even if you swap those examples out..

I've seen numerous times that Vita outselling Wii U some months shows the console is dead. Yet 3DS outsells evrything and that doesnt ever say anything about the consoles its outselling

26.1 Your local Wal-Mart/Gamestop/Target/Best Buy is the be-all, end-all, center of the universe, final judge one the health of how well a console sales. If your local store has/doesn't have it, then that is all the evidence we need to reach a verdict on something.

This is the only one I take issue with, everything else was spot on. Everyone keeps dismissing "anecdotal evidence" as just that.....anecdotal evidence.

But VGC is a diverse community. And when people from LA, San Fransisco, San Diego, Houston, San Antonio, Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Jacksonville, New York City, Boston, etc. (you get the picture, right? Large markets) are all saying "Console X is sold out at all my local stores, Console Y is always in stock"....that means something. When it's just one guy, sure, take it with a grain of salt. But when it's so widespread, that's gotta mean something

Exactly. It is a teardrop in the ocean.

"No! I'm the most unbiased person on all of VGC! Don't you see, I owned all the consoles in generation 6!?"

Heh, I love sarcasm.
