Some people who saw it told me it looked boring because it is point-and-click game and it completely failed to sell. Gamespot gave it a 49 (although they reviewed it years later, this game came out in 1996 I believe).
I actually believe it is one of the best games of all time; it had brilliant puzzles, an incredible atmosphere, a humorous story (although the end lesson in it is really just about Good VS. Evil, which is somewhat a simplistic moral and it is simplified even more in the game), and amazing work with claymation. When its creator Doug Tennapel (the person who also created Earth Worm Jim) announced a spiritual successor, Armikrog, for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Wii U I could not have been more excited, I actually think I will purchase it for all systems. If you are into point-and-click games (or if you are thinking of trying something new) I strongly recommend you look at The Neverhood (you will have to look online to get a copy though because it has not been sold in stores for years, and you will most likely need to patch it for modern computers; there is also a Playstation version available so it might just be easier to use that on PS emulator though the PC version with mouse controlls is somewhat better imo), just bring a pad and pen because you will need it for some of the puzzles. |
Loved it! Great classic that I'm not affraid to draw inspiration from.
I'd also say:
Knack
Resistance Burning Skies
The Unfinished Swan
Downhill Domination
Donald Duck gone quackers

Is it Fantasy XIII Final?
I had a love/hate relationship with Sim City Creator. Sometimes I would want to throw it into the depths of Mt. Doom and other times I would have a craving to make a new city. I'm pretty sure nearly anyone who played that game hated it.

Not a game but I need to get this off my chest. I think X- men 3 is the best one in the series. |
I loved PSASBR! I hate how people automatically dismiss the game saying it was a smash bros. clone. The controls were similar but the mechanics and the point of the battles were completely different from smash bros. plus I could be Spike, Drake, and PaRappa. I had just as much fun, if not more, as playing brawl on the wii. I gotta disagree with you on X-men though..... they killed off Cyclops in the beginning!!!
LITTLE MAC

Jee, i can't think of any. Usually people change their hatred of a game after they come to know that i liked it. Otherwise, they just look silly.
Resistance 3, still can't believe it didn't sell better. Maybe because R2 left a bad taste in a lot of peoples' mouths?
Always use the 6 Button controller, turn on hints or whatever the option is.
It also has an RPG element in that you put points into stats as you win matches. Power Points/Stat Building in game screen.

I secretly loved about any and all Sega/Mega CD games back then and, this is perhaps the most underated boxing game ever released imho. Might help to be 13-14 years old when you play it also. Best since Mike Tysons Punch Out for myself. Then Prize Fighter. Then Wii Punch-Out!!. I rank them in that order Top 3 boxing video games ever. ;)

I enjoyed both Vampire Rain: Altered Species and Alpha Protocol. I guess I was just able to see past the flaws and enjoy the stealth elements of them.
Crono Cross. Yes it never matched up to CT. But it was a really good game. For me, at least.
