I went for New Super Mario Bros. 3D World. I'm a solid believer great games should sell record numbers. Unfortunately, one glance over at Call Of Duty's yearly numbers and I'm reminded of the "reality" of the industry.
Greatness doesn't guarantee sales.

That was the point of changing the target to 5 million.
I'd guess we won't see a WiiU game to even possibly hit that number until late in its lifecycle. By that time, there's a lot more content out there.

Oh you forgot to change the poll then. Mario Kart 8 should reach 5 million.
NSMBU should get to 5 million because its bundled in every market, even Japan.
Even if you want MK8, you'll have to buy the Wii U first which likely means getting NSMBU.
I'm thinking NSMBU because of the bundles like others have said. I think maybe MK8 has a shot depending on how much hype is built up around it and how fast Nintendo releases a Wii U bundle packaged with MK8.

Mario kart doesn't need bundles to achieve those numbers. although a bundle would make it happen faster.
New Super Mario Bros U, its already at 3.5m and is bundled in every region. It think it will pass 5 million in the summer.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
I'd say Wii U at the moment has four games (released or announced) with potential to reach 5 million or more. Those games are:
New Super Mario Bros. U
Mario Kart 8
Super Smash Bros.
Super Mario 3D World
I base this projection on world wide life time hardware sales of 30-35 million Wii U systems.
