That's what I think too, but how do you feel about them going in panic mode on U and beasting the hell out of it, what happens to the 3DS then?

That's why I think they should go really aggressive and spend the money it takes to pump out games for both.

I believe the 3DS has more priority for Nintendo than the Wii U (even in a scenario where both are selling well). So I don't think Nintendo will drop 3DS projects like it happened to the Wii U even in a panic mode. They simple can't either, because without the 3DS, Nintendo would be bleeding more money than they currently are, so they simple can't drop the 3DS support anytime soon.

Nintendo is a company that constantly makes me want to take the reigns and push like crazy. They are a company that do things like resting on their lorels and thinking that everything will be fine when they are in 1st place. That is not the Nintendo I want, but Nintendo is that company today.

Just like everybody else. Remember Sony at E3 2006, coming off of the success of the PS2.

But yes, I agree with you, Nintendo is WAY too passive nowadays. It's been over a year since the Wii U launched, but like Iwata said, a lot of the money they spent the last year, which in turn went to losses, went to R&D, meaning more games in the next year.

Yep.

"Please Understand"

A phrase that represents the whole essence of Nintendo.

Business speaking, Nintendo is barely aggressive. They rely on conservative business decisions that make them beg for our understanding.

"What about the Wiimote, what about the U padlet?" you will tell me. It's true that Nintendo does not cower when it comes to breaking the mold, I can't deny that. But where is their aggressive release of games on their platforms right now? Do they not have money, and could they not simply go into overdrive to redeem the U? Why is a game like Bravely Default not yet localised? Where are the western 2nd parties?

Nintendo is a company that constantly makes me want to take the reigns and push like crazy. They are a company that do things like resting on their lorels and thinking that everything will be fine when they are in 1st place. That is not the Nintendo I want, but Nintendo is that company today.

It is not the Nintendo of young Hiroshi Yamauchi. It is the Nintendo of old Satoru Iwata. I love the guy, but he needs to go on the aggressive now or else.

Please understand.

It's not as easy as waving a wand and games are finished at your whim, they take a lot of time. I do think they should have had more games available at launch, but the only thing they can do now is improve marketing astronomically and announce upcoming games more often.

NIntendo funded lego city^

They have exclusivity rights to it completely so It suggests funding

It sold very well.

When did Iwata say that? o.O

This is what happens when you're coming off a very successful product. You think you can do no wrong.

I agree. I find them to passive. The fact that they didn't even market Wii Fit U in the states just goes to show you to what degree it has become as well.

Saw Wii Fit U commercials like crazy on Hulu+ before the holidays.

Can't say I'm able to know, I'm not American after all, but I've heard from that other Wii Fit U thread that the marketing was non existant. I'm not sure if Hulu + is the right marketplace though, does a lot of soccer moms watch Game of Thrones? :D

Look at the post above you

I did. I read all the posts when the topic interests me. I don't see why that has any relevance though.

It has a personal trainer showing off the WiiU to a bunch of redneck right wingers on Fox.
'

We call that marketing.
