Just like everybody else. Remember Sony at E3 2006, coming off of the success of the PS2.

But yes, I agree with you, Nintendo is WAY too passive nowadays. It's been over a year since the Wii U launched, but like Iwata said, a lot of the money they spent the last year, which in turn went to losses, went to R&D, meaning more games in the next year.
