Another very good marketing move from Microsoft.

Yes, because more bad press is really what they need for the X1 :P

Even though I prefer the ps4 I'd be tempted to endorse the xbox one if I was paid for it.

Of course on reading this I completely negate any positive opinions of the xbox one on youtube because I know there is a corrupting money influence which may be at work.

So if I see a positive or negative ps4 video on youtube I can believe its true.
If I see a negative xbox one video on youtube I can believe its true

The only way the Microsoft marketing works is if you don't know they are paying youtubers.

I'm sure Microsoft have got round a table and said 'Ok our Xbox one is a bit shit compared to ps4 technically so how do we fight this?'

This is clearly one of their solutions.

Wait thats illegal isnt it?

http://moongypsy.bandcamp.com/ ~Thank you Stefl1504 for the amazing sig~

This is a huge mistake for Microsoft. They're basically shooting themselves in the foot (for the quadrillionth) time through negative word of mouth.

Absolute genius idea. This is why Microsoft make money. Because their advertising works.

Well Done Microsoft.

What are you on about. Its advertising. Every company does stuff like this. Facebook, etc etc. To think otherwise isnt very smart. Its got nothing to do with Championing. What are you going on about.

Another day, another internet circle jerk. Its really funny.

Carry on with your hate.

Well done Microsoft good idea. Peace.

Show me where another compnay did this and is being investigated for FTC violations? Even if they ddi 2 wrongs don;t make a right. It's despicable, and shows a lack of confidence in their product.

Let me ask you this? What is the difference between a company paying for a broadcaster on TV being paid to advertise a product during a breakfast show, or paying for prime time TV slots. Where as here Microsoft are paying for verbal maessages through PAID advertising. Of course this isnt a review of any type. They arent paying for a GOOD review. They are paying for name dropping, The same way 118 118 advertises Channel 4 films in the UK. Its called a plug. NOT A REVIEW.

Nothing will come of this and its PERFECTLY legal. There is absolutely no wrong doing here at all.

Well Done Microsoft.

EDIT: Essentially instead of making there own adverts, they are employing Youtubers to make some videos and upload them. Thats Marketing. Advertising. Of course they are gonna say dont bad mouth the Xbox in your advert that we are paying you to make.

Did you read the article? These arrangements are supposed to be transparent, you are not allowed to keep the advertisement a secret, thus the "Being investigated for FTC regulations" It is not the same as what others do. Still waiting for the other cases where this has happened........
