It's the 500 bucks and the negative attention they were getting pre-launch. Plus news about the 1080p spreads beyond the internet despite popular belief and people are hearing that PS4 is the stronger machine. That's really there is to it. Obviously we're seeing that the Xbox One is doing very well also. Things are looking good for both products.

With most games being the same, cheaper and more powerful is a huge selling point. Xbox One launch exclusives really did nothing to pull any people towards purchasing the console. Killzone might be a crappy FPS, I dunno, don't own the game, but it was atleast a FPS, so Sony capitalized on getting the casual FPS fanbase interested in their console over Xbox One early.

You can say the exact same thing about the 360 and the Wii, they got an early lead because of all the mistakes Sony made with the PS3. Yes Sony profited off of Microsoft's missteps with the XBO, but it's foolish to think that's the only reason they've succeeded with the PS4. If that was the case then the WiiU would also be a big success. It takes more for a console to succeed than having the competition fail.

No its not. Xbox One has more exclusives and total sales have been higher.  We dont have numbers on Killer Instinct and Resogun, but KI is a game fans had been begging Microsoft for now for years and should no doubt have a bigger impact then Resogun.  All the 3rd party games have done much better on PS4.

Killzone - 1.25 m.

Knack - .5 m.

Xbox One (2.2 million)

Forza 5 - .92 million

Dead Rising 3 - .64 million

Ryse - .64 million

Sales =/= better games.

Seriously though it's too soon to make any judgments on the impact of the PS4's extra power. Multi-plat developers are still getting into the swing of things and Ryse/KZ:SF are pretty much the entire list of exclusive we can compare for graphical capabilities, and even then they are both worlds apart (fps/3rd person, art styles, etc). We don't have a big enough sample size yet.

Sales=Quality GOTCHA! Therefore today, January 19 2014, I proclaim Call of Duty as the best game ever.

Also might aswell add fighter within and zoo tycon while you are at it. 

PS4 did everything right, deal with it.

Xbox One version looks brighter and better. PS4 version is darn and you can't see details. Go Xbox One!

CoD is the game that have the biggest gap in graphic terms... you can be serious about this claim.

FIFA looks the same.

Battefield looks better on PS4 and perform better (bugged in both btw).
