Let other devs work on Nintendo IPs
I for one would like something like Hyllian Creed

I think they're better off just funding certain projects like Lego City Undercover, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, etc.

They don't need new studios, what I see them doing is letting other studios develope and use their Ip's like
hyrule warrior for example, this option is much cheaper than just creating a new one

So, a partnership with a 3rd party developer? Sounds like much more cost effective than my idea. Hopefully if Hyrule Warriors is successful, we can see better 3rd party results.

I always thought, Nintendo ought to buy a few big dev teams (Platinum Games should definitely be one). If Ninty has more developer teams, they would be able to produce far more games and keep the game stream flowing steadily.

However, the idea seems so simple I believe that there is something I ignore or that I am not counting on. I mean like, besides spending a lot of money (Which would eventually be compensated by the incomes of the console + the produced games), what else could possibly be a negative about this? If it was as simple as that Nintendo would've done that a while ago, right?

Where's the catch, guys? WHERE'S THE CATCH?!

The catch is maybe they spend vast amounts of money creating a new dev team only to get little in return back

For example ms buying rare which they have yet to get back financially which is probably why rare hasn't made shit other than kinect crap

Isn't that because Microsoft doesn't allow RARE to have creative rights? Nintendo is somewhat more open. Wasn't it Retro than wanted to make Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze?

Rare came out with viva piñata, Kameo and banjo kazooie nuts and bolts which all underperformed

I'm thinking ms kinda became less open minded with th them after this

Well would you look at the poll LOL. If I were nintendo I would start by grabbing up ubisoft.

I think Nintendo has to have games of all kinds, and since they aren't getting them from third parties they should make them themselves. Buying companies would be a way of doing that.

For example, if Nintendo were to buy SNK, how many fighting games fans could resist not getting a Wii U for Smash Bros + King of Fighters + Samurai Showdown?

They should see where they have holes in their inventory (for example no first person shooters) and do something to fix that. They should have bough Atlus imo.

A western studio would be awesome.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD
