I think Nintendo has to have games of all kinds, and since they aren't getting them from third parties they should make them themselves. Buying companies would be a way of doing that.
For example, if Nintendo were to buy SNK, how many fighting games fans could resist not getting a Wii U for Smash Bros + King of Fighters + Samurai Showdown?
They should see where they have holes in their inventory (for example no first person shooters) and do something to fix that. They should have bough Atlus imo.
