So, 3D World is not moving consoles

3DS won't reach 20m this year 17 16.67%

3DWorld is forecasted to desapear 8 7.84%

Galaxy 3 will save the U 22 21.57%

Nothing stops this train 54 52.94%

Total:101

Ok so how many sales off 3d world then? 1.6 million ok but does that include downloads too? And also untill nintendo release figures for all there sales its all just speculation. One more thing 1.6 million sales so far according to this site yeah out off 5.4 million users is very impressive plus how many ppl sold there wii u already I wonder. More pointless bullshit doom and gloom

True, but have you read his post? he could have written it as a constructive criticism, but the way he posted surely denotes hatred.
But hey, if I am misjudging his approach, my apologies

I explained in a previous thread 3DWorld was not moving consoles. Yet, some was calling it just hate.

It's not hate. I have the Wii U and almost finished 3DWorld. But it's not moving consoles and proof has been released now.

You fail to realize just as your last post was pointed out. The console has to be marketed right and priced right. Mario is most powerful when both are done right. If the system has both done wrong, no game can save it. Just like PS3 at 500.

I don't expect to be above 500k if the must have didn't even charted. Or, why would people buy a console without games?

1. Charts aren't for individual formats. For instance, Skylanders Swap Force charted in 10th, and in December it sold 370k on the Wii alone, and 200k on the 360, according to VGChartz. Add in the other five platforms, and you can expect a comfortable 600-700k for that game, across versions.

2. People buy them with different games. Not everybody is going to get 3D World with the system. Also, hardware bundling, which isn't tracked by NPD (it says on the chart itself that versions bundled with hardware aren't included). Unlike the PS4 and XBO, which only have launch lineups, the Wii U has a library that goes back more than a year. Some people will have bought it with ZombiU, or Rayman Legends, or CoD:BO2, or Wonderful 101, or Pikmin 3, etc - games that aren't likely to chart now, but which will continue to sell at lower rates. And there's enough of them that they won't be dramatically boosted the way that Knack, for instance, was on PS4.

3. The system comes with games bundled, at least with the more popular SKUs, they don't actually need to buy other games immediately.

Super Mario 3D World is a really fun game, but I'm glad it's not working for Nintendo.

Nintendo needs to learn that churning out Mario games is not going to cut it. They need to adapt to the direction the industry has been heading for the last 5 years. Knowing Nintendo, they would rather die trying than to change, but I surely hope the company loses its stubbornness sooner rather than later.

To me it's just his form of accepting the situation. Making fun of something you love doing bad can help you accept.

You should learn a thing or two from that statement.

What is your problem with 3DW?  I think I've seen you make more threads about it being a flop than everyone else on this site combined, why do you feel like you have to keep saying it didn't move a lot of consoles

It's not and it wasn't moving consoles, yet some pretend it was. I want just to confirm is not doing its work.

I'm confused how you know it's not moving consoles?  How do you know that 80% of the people buying the Wii U are not doing so to own this game and some future games.  It's the reason I bought one!  That and the 2d mario, zeldo ww hd, and future games.  Might even pick up games like W101 and Pikmin.  But at the end of the day, Mario 3D was the reason I wanted to own the Wii U now vs later (and so far it has not disappointed).

So at the end of the day, it certainly not HURTING sales.  So it's yielding some upside, question is how much.  I think you are assuming too much.

But it has sold 1.6 million copies worldwide so far. It may not have sold too many copies, but it was bought by a lot of people who already owned Wii U.

but...it didnt move consoles which is the point of the OP

Looking at the holiday sales it did move a lot of consoles. Just not as much as Nintendo wanted.

keyword holidays. pretty sure that contributed to the increase in sales more than 3d world did.

A single game is not going to move consoles.. 3D World combined with MK8, Smash Bros 4, Zelda U and many others will move consoles.
