Ni no Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch and Fire Emblem Awakening, two of 2013's most sucessful and acclaimed Jrpgs. Both having relatively close release dates and managing to stay great sellers all year.

But which will end up selling more?

Fire Emblem Awakening - 0.43m NA sales (release date: Febuary 4th)

Ni no Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch - 0.42m NA sales (Release Date: January 22)

Fire emblem is much more deserving, so hopefully it does, but ni no kuni is cheaper...

Ni No Kuni is doing wonderful digitally, so it'll win LTD. Retail will probably go to Fire Emblem though.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed Awakening sold in the 100k range digitally, mainly due to supply issues.

I have to go with FE:A, though I wasn't aware they were so close in retail sales.

I think, as a general rule, handhelds tend to have higher digital sales, so Fire Emblem has that in its favor. And like Dengle said, there were some notable supply issue when FE13 was released over here, so that would add to the digital ratio.

Though of course, it could go either way.

I will say FE:A for retail just cause the ps3 is at the end of its life cycle and if Ni No Kuni goes to the ps4, its by digital but the 3ds is like 33%? of its life cycle so it still has quite a ways to go and I doubt theres gonna be another FE for a while

With that being said... Heres a case of quality games not selling well in NA cause we have no good taste in jrpgs... Than again, I guess FE did have that issue where it was vastly out of stock when it came out cause Nintendo's shipping department is retarded and I did buy mines digital due to that so who knows, maybe it just sold a shit ton more digitally

PSN has way more users than the eShop. So whatever FE has managed it won't be more than Ni No Kuni has.
