Still..I'm more curious about the other next-gen systems numbers now (Wii U, 3DS and PS4 in particular).

It's too early to say that now. XBO isn't going to drop the price too quickly like the WiiU did, they're not in that state of desperation yet. And keep in mind that the PS4 was completely out of stock in December so we don't have a clearer picture of demand yet. If history has taught us anything,  is that brand loyalty means very little for consoles in the US. Look how quickly people switched from Nintendo to Sega, then back to Nintendo, then over to Sony, and then to Microsoft.

Yup big congrats to MS. Well done for a $500 machine to be able to sell at these numbers shows how strong their brand and marketing is.

Wake up call for the industry, low sales are not "cyclical" and a new gen or even record selling new hardware doesn't automatically improve software sales.
