Can a new F-Zero sell well? F-Zero is one of many Nintedo IPs, but its most recent releases (almost 10 years ago), failed to sell well. F-Zero GX sold 650,000 copies worldwide while F-Zero GP Legends only managed to sell a measly 160,000. The original F-Zero sold 2.85 million, F-Zero X sold 1.10 million, and F-Zero Maximum Velocity sold 1.04 million. Can a new F-Zero regain some of its early glory by releasing in either 3DS or Wii U and become a million seller again?

A part of me hopes they don't release it on Wii U, because it would inevitably flop and Miyamoto will decide it's proof the game should never be made ever again.

3DS software sales are poor as well so I don't think there's really a place for F-zero sadly. At least x and gx are absolutely timeless classics that will hold up forever.

I would LOVE a Wii U sequel to F Zero GX, which I still consider the best racing game I have ever played. With the pent up demand of a decade's wait, I believe it could have a good shot at a million if it lived up to its predecessors.

However, I don't expect that to happen. Either it'll get made for 3DS for cost reasons, or it won't get made at all, with Nintendo sticking to more popular brands.

F-Zero is very underrated. I have my copy of F-Zero GX and play it occasionally. I want a new F-Zero, but with the low sales it has had, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

They should just make an HD remake like they did with WW... F-Zero will ever sell enough to make a new game out of it but an HD remake would be perfect... It takes like what? Only 6 months they said to make a game into HD?

I'm sick of people saying "remake! remake!." For god's sake, they know the fans want an FZERO. If they make it, go full force. Don't depend on a remake to see how it's gonna sell. Give us new games!

I think Nintendo isn't making another F-Zero on home consoles, because so many people insist that GX was great, thus sending the message to Nintendo that GX was perfect and that there's simply not a big enough audience to make a sequel worthwhile.

Wake up, people. GX was truly disappointing. I spit on the game and so should you. Middle finger to Amusement Vision.

F-Zero GX was an amazing game, it has very few flaws, but it being "perfect" isn't why they haven't made a new one, but its lackluster sales are.

In what way?

It was intense, challenging, smooth, controlled tightly, looked and sounded great...

I think "casuals" would not buy it on WiiU :/

I think it would need to be a launch title like the original. Nintendo should time their next console to release with Mario 3D Universe, Xenoblade 3 and F-Zero reboot, with F-Zero being a graphical showcase. People love a racer with a new system.
