Now it begs the question: where are the Nintendo games?

In the almost 40 years that Nintendo has been a gaming company I don't think they have shared any of their development costs, they are extremely secret with that for some reason.

Maybe because they're too much low and the incredibly high ROI's would shock the other devs and gamers.

No wonder companys are going under, the marketing takes up so much money! If only there was another way. Fanboys are free marketing i guess lol

What the fuck? I can't believe they spent that much just to secure the name E.T.

The funny thing is that its more then twice what the budget of the actual movie was which is $10.5 million according to wikepedia.  Also by the time they got approached for it the movie most likely already turned a profit at the box office since it made over $353 million domestically in its first run and was profitable after 8 days.  It had so much merchandise that I'm sure that it made over $100 million from that in 1982 alone.

$140m for Destiny?  I don't see it selling well enough for a budget this high.

Nice find! For some strange reason I thought budgets nowadays would be higher than this... GeoW only $10? GoW3 wasn't that expansive either...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
