I still haven't seen a real answer to my argument. Kinda annoying to be so right all the time ;)

Didn't you say the WiiU would sell 80m units?

I don't believe so. If I did, it was probably back before Wii U had come out, so could you blame me? Even the Nintendo haters probably predicted 80-100 million for the console.

My latest prediction I recalled making was the it has 50 million sales potential, but a lot of things need to go right for that to happen. Nintendo needs to pull their head out of their ass for starters, and quit making niche type Gamecube games, and go back to the type of games that made Wii a hit. My realistic prediction has been around 20-30 million.

What games are going to drive this insane kind of demand? Because I don't see it.. You realize the console is selling largely on hype, based off the natural boost of the holidays, and the novelty of new console technology, right? Soon all the extreme Sony diehards and tech junkies that must have all things new are going to all have their PS4s, and the console sales are going to plummet down to earth, at least until Sony gets some worthwhile games. Wii U, N64, PS3, and even Dreamcast all started out selling massively its first holiday season.. We simply do not know the REAL demand of the PS4 yet. And we will not until supply meets demand.

Remember, at the end of the day, the purpose of gaming consoles is to play games. Thus, Sony will need the worthwhile games to continue to drive the sales of the hardware.

Infamous Second Son in March, then Driveclub, The Order 1886, Shadow of the Beast, Uncharted 4, The Witness, Rime, and some others I'm probably forgetting. Now that's just counting first party stuff. Some Q1 3rd party releases are Tomb Raider in January and Thief in February. There's also the fact that Sony is adding new indie titles every month. January had Don't Starve, and February will have Outlast. March will probably get Rogue Legacy. I'm seeing plenty of games for PS4 owners.

The 3rd party titles of 2014 will sell a lot more PS4s than the exclusives though. Aside from the exclusives the PS4 is still the better option for multiplut and hell, we have an epic lineup of multiplat games this year.

It will be a solid combination of excellent first party titles and high profile 3rd party games driving hardware. They don't need to just rely on one or the other.

I don't see many exclusive games sold compared to th multiplats. 1:10 is my guess of the high profile exclusive games to the high profile multiplats. I think the sole prospect of Uncharted 4 coming out is selling more consoles than the actually released games^^

I reckon around 19-20mil

Okay, Im gonna address your arguments.

Nintendo fans like you still live in a bubble, are you claiming it's only the Sony fans and tech people that want a PS4? This is ridicilous, have you not been following the PS4 hype for most of last year? Everyone wants a PS4, just follow social media and see how much it is in demand. PS4 announcement trailer had over 30 million views, no console announcement had that, it even was the most viewed video if it's month. PS4 shatters Iwata's Wii U argument: software sells hardware, what a laughable concept at launch. The PS4 is a phenomenon, people want it regardless, it doesn't need a Wii Sports to fuel this demand because PS4 doesn't cater to the casuals. Even with such a weak launch line-up PS4 still became the best selling console in the history. It doesn't need system sellers right now, it's sold out everywhere and there are millions of people still waiting. Once the sales driven by hype is over, there will be plenty of games coming out.

WTF has sales of post launch N64, Wii U, PS4 to do with PS4?  I already put the launch and post launch sales of PS3 in my OP. It SHIPPED 3.5M until march 31 2007, and thats with the delayed Euro launch. PS4 SOLD THROUGH(that means sold to customers if you didn't know) 4.2M by dec 28, meaning it also still had 2 days of unaccounted sales in 2013.

Wii U? Lol! 3M SHIPPED until dec 31 2012, and the following 3 quarterly results it was revealed that it only shipped below 0.3M each quarter.

Meaning? PS4 is so far ahead of these consoles that no one in their right mind would even bring them up. Even if the PS4 stopped selling for the next 9 months it would be still ahead of Wii U LTD, the truth is harsh isn't it?

Stop living in that bubble and insist that what happened to Nintendo/Wii U, will happen to PS4. How wrong you and the other Ninty fans were last year, with each Nintendo sales failure news you guys had to chime and claim "bbb buuut next gen will be doomed too! Just wait when they launch!"

Actually id say its selling on the massive failures of its competition.  A non alinged gamer has a simple choice.  A dead in the water kiddi U, or a spy box with massive negativeity surrounding it. or best most power full with largest most varied 1st partry and largest 3rd party suport and pure posativity surrondig it.  Sony sould thank Ninty and MS for making it so easy.

We know demend buddy, its staring everyone in the face and slaping the hell out of them.  PS4 is the clear choice for this gen, sales will drop but its sales will drop the least and will always be heavly out selling the comp (ala wii or PS2).  Might as well get used to the fact that it is PS2 gen all over agian.

Every gamer know Sony will flood it with exclusives, and 3rd partys are championing PS4 as their console of choice.  There is no need, we all know its coming.  You should hope the games dont come to soon, it might kill your console of choice.
