What games are going to drive this insane kind of demand? Because I don't see it.. You realize the console is selling largely on hype, based off the natural boost of the holidays, and the novelty of new console technology, right? Soon all the extreme Sony diehards and tech junkies that must have all things new are going to all have their PS4s, and the console sales are going to plummet down to earth, at least until Sony gets some worthwhile games. Wii U, N64, PS3, and even Dreamcast all started out selling massively its first holiday season.. We simply do not know the REAL demand of the PS4 yet. And we will not until supply meets demand.
Remember, at the end of the day, the purpose of gaming consoles is to play games. Thus, Sony will need the worthwhile games to continue to drive the sales of the hardware.

Infamous Second Son in March, then Driveclub, The Order 1886, Shadow of the Beast, Uncharted 4, The Witness, Rime, and some others I'm probably forgetting. Now that's just counting first party stuff. Some Q1 3rd party releases are Tomb Raider in January and Thief in February. There's also the fact that Sony is adding new indie titles every month. January had Don't Starve, and February will have Outlast. March will probably get Rogue Legacy. I'm seeing plenty of games for PS4 owners.

The 3rd party titles of 2014 will sell a lot more PS4s than the exclusives though. Aside from the exclusives the PS4 is still the better option for multiplut and hell, we have an epic lineup of multiplat games this year.

It will be a solid combination of excellent first party titles and high profile 3rd party games driving hardware. They don't need to just rely on one or the other.

I don't see many exclusive games sold compared to th multiplats. 1:10 is my guess of the high profile exclusive games to the high profile multiplats. I think the sole prospect of Uncharted 4 coming out is selling more consoles than the actually released games^^
