theprof00 is just my nickname from childhood. People used to always call me prof because I'd help everyone understand their studies, and I had good grades, on top of which it rhymes with my last name. The 00 is from the name being created in the year 2000, so it's a thirteen year old screenname.

Well hey, the light novels have all been released officially in English, and I think you can find them for pretty cheap on Amazon if you ever decide to grab them. The U.S. is actually caught up to the Japanese releases for the time being, so you should definitely give them a shot!

And yeah, the setup of the series is great, though my favorite character is definitely Kyon (followed by Yuki). I feel like he's the best lens the author could've created to reflect Haruhi's bizarre antics, and I love him for it. That said, I don't think there's actually a character within the main group that I dislike. It honestly is one of the best series released in the last ten years, a shame the anime had to pull that Endless Eight crap(for the record, the novels don't do it like that. At all!)...

Back when I was about 13 or so (14 years ago), some of my friends tried to nickname me "Faceless Man" because of some song I had not and still have not heard. It didn't really stick, but some of them called me that for a while. I used the name in Everquest, only to find out it violated their naming rules, so a helpful guide changed it to this name, and I continued to use it for a while.

I don't use it very much anymore, I usually go with "Turkwise" (a deliberate mispronunciation of 'turquoise' based on a ytmnd involving kool-aid; also a WoW name I used) or something based on my real name. (but never actually using my full real name: I think some paranoia is a good thing to have on the internet)

As for my picture, I made it in GIMP one day when I was bored. I think it turned out OK for somebody with little visual artistic talent. As you may have guessed, my artistic talents are musical in nature.
