Back when I was about 13 or so (14 years ago), some of my friends tried to nickname me "Faceless Man" because of some song I had not and still have not heard. It didn't really stick, but some of them called me that for a while. I used the name in Everquest, only to find out it violated their naming rules, so a helpful guide changed it to this name, and I continued to use it for a while.
I don't use it very much anymore, I usually go with "Turkwise" (a deliberate mispronunciation of 'turquoise' based on a ytmnd involving kool-aid; also a WoW name I used) or something based on my real name. (but never actually using my full real name: I think some paranoia is a good thing to have on the internet)
As for my picture, I made it in GIMP one day when I was bored. I think it turned out OK for somebody with little visual artistic talent. As you may have guessed, my artistic talents are musical in nature.
