Further evidence. That 3m in 2013 makes no sense with the info we have

We know official tracking for the year from Germany, Spain, UK. Meanwhile we have half the year for the United States and France and a little bit of Australia, and virtually nothing for the other 7 territories. The only thing that doesn't make sense is that with so little info you are assuming official numbers make no sense. I mean maybe if December NPD sales were out and they have the xbone only selling 500k in December you can argue that the 3mil makes no sense. But as of know it basically just sounds like you don't like the sales, and I'm trying to figure out why because they are much lower than ps4's sales anyway.
As for specifically Germany 60k difference between vgchartz and official numbers is huge. That is like a 40% difference... PS4 is doing amazing though. Really thrashing the competition in all the major European markets.

Let's look at this realistically. We have quite a bit of info for the major markets in EU. The other ones aren't that big, and combined may add 100K or so.
If you add the numbers we do have for the year, Spain (35K) + Germany (100K) + UK (364K), we get 499K. We do have ~50K for France for the 1st 3 weeks. Personally, I think VGC's 126K is overtracked, seeing as the other regions in EU are and I highly doubt it sold >2x that in the following 3 weeks, so let's go with 100K. I'll give AU 150K (66K in the first 3 days), though that may be over shooting it. Adding in that extra 100K, if its even that, for the other regions and we get 849K. Add in the 909K from the US, that's 1.76M. 1.96M, if you think Xbox One did that well in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
So, NPD needs to show that the Xbox One sold at least 1.1M in the US if those numbers are real. Personally, I think they may have matched Nov numbers (909K), which if true, famousmortimer would be right when he said real sales were ~2.8M when they announced over 3M.
