About GT5 I didn't blame the reviewers or anybody that didn't like the game... it is not for everybody... it is only for racing sim gamers.

I can see even why some guys or reviewers guesses Forza is a better game because there a big difference in the approach of the two... in Forza anybody enter in the game and can play it (there are a auto brake feature that makes you fell you are a good driver) while GT5 you need to spent time to start to get good with the cars like in real life (you need to learn first).

And a lot of things are missing or unfinished at release like GT6 is (eg. GT6 is the only game to add next-features like GPS track creator and others but it will be released via update in middle 2014).

Overall there is little games that give you all the content and enjoyment that GT5 did... it is not perfect but it is close to it after the updates.

At some point I have supported every console manufacturer in the last ten years. Does that make me a fanboy?
Some self-confessed fanboys I find tolerable and rather level headed in their approach to arguments.

For example E and P are good PS fanboys because their posts lack the bitterness and resentment found in most fanboys posts.. from what I have seen.

On the xbox side there are those who I respect like L and T and for Nintendo V and R among others on all sides.

I can understand fans getting emotional over a sports team etc, or anything where a human element is involved and you can become a part of. But not an object.

ouch! Fanboys, part of team ? Geeeeezzz.... if something, they are more anti-fans than actually fans of something.

Fanboys are just a bunch of mindless videogame addicts with dick size problems..

no a fanboy is like a religious fanatic who denies reality. they will always side with their preconception regardless of the absurdity.

lots of people like this here. be nice if they would grow up.

Being  a fanboy is when you blindly support a company and act like that company is perfect.. Fanboys are like those little nerds who are  in  love with the hotter girls  in their school.. The little nerds will blindly follow the  hot girls and act like  those girls  are  the best thing since the PS2 and Pornhub. A good example of this are the EA fanboys.. They defended the buggy clusterfuck that was Battlefield 4 and simply ignored the bugs, crashes and  the overall imbalance of the game.

Great analysis! The part that I quoted goes exactly in line with what I'm always saying: That fanboyism is a great example of what psychologists call cognitive dissonance. That by the way perfectly explains why the "fanboy wars" are currently mainly between Xbox and Playstation fans, and not so much Nintendo fans: Because Xbox and Playstation are very similar, while the Wii/WiiU rather was/is the odd one out.

Which is basicly a fine strategy, being the console next to one of the HD twins. It will be fun to see how Nintendo will go from here, will they go handheld, combined with a "tablet as console" and where does that place their fans in the grand scheme
