2014 is looking good for Wii U from a software perspective and kicking things off is Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze in around a months time. When this game was first announced many were underwhelmed (inc myself) wishing that the team instead had been working on a Metroid title. Anyways i have slowly but surely began to pick up some interest in the game, and im now really looking forward to its release. I've been watching trailers and gameplay footage and the game is looking very slick, highly polished and a lot of fun. 

Any other Wii U fans here pumped for this game? or is anybody being tempted to buy a Wii U, with yet another quality game added to the growing library?

Not sure if I'll get it right away but definitely will buy.

I am so going to get this game! I loved Donkey Kon Country Returns! Best 2D platformer along Rayman Origins of the 7th gen.

Although the thing that really sealed the deal for me was Cranky Kong.

That's a negative. Kindof a shame too. I do really want to get a game on my Wii-U at some point, but there just any that are worth it yet. :(

I am buying the game, but no pre-order for me. It will be my February game instead of Thief, that is slipping to march (or price reduction).

I'll get it but not day one.

If you love platformers that game looks top shelf. But after Mario 2D, Luigi 2D, Mario 3D isometric., Rayman Legends, Ducktales: Remastered I wonder if people are burnt out on platform titles on Wii U? Anyhow DKC TF looks like it's the best 2D version of that game series yet.
