Just hope they don't sell for loss on China, piracy would make it not profitable... but we sure would gloat about HW Sales.

I don't think China would add that much to the console market TBH. Every extra unit sold is good news though I guess.

If Sony cut a deal with the party they could order every citizen to buy a PS4 or be ruled traitors and executed.

- People who want one in China already import via grey market
- Rampant piracy; no one will pay retail game prices
- Disinterest in Western and especially Japanese console games, as compared to booming PC and mobile, especially F2P
- High cost and risk of doing business as an outsider company

I think the home console market won't be that big in China is all.

India has as many people and the market is tiny. China might be better, but with their social inequalities and small, different videogame culture (knock-offs, PC & mobile gaming, piracy...) I don't think the market for a Sony/Nintendo/MS is that big.

Heck, Nintendo already released the DS and 3DS in China and it barely added to the totals.

Right now it doesn't seem too promising, but you never know if a new trend cold arise and make foreign gaming the big thing.

Because its starting from zero and its a different culture.  Why do you think it would add much?
