After following US preorders, I have come to the conclusion that inFamous: Second Son will be the best selling inFamous to date, and will potentially surpass the first by far. Looking at US preorders, inFamous 2 rested at 161K preorders it's release week, before selling 1.63 million units LTD. Second Son has already surpassed that at 166K, with 12 weeks still to go. In 12 weeks, and with plenty of advertisement from SCE, it could easily generate another 150K - 200K preorders before release. I'm 3.5 - 4 million units LTD, and potentially near 5 with good reviews and the game has legs due to the PS4's quickly growing install base. How well do you think it will sell?

It's the first big PS4 game post launch, it should sell well. Plus both of the first two games were given out free on PSN.

Agreed!! Seems to have more hype surrounding this one too than the others did.

Voted: 3.5mil - 4mil. Though I could see it going above 4mil if the reviews are good and it has good word of mouth.

Could be tough. Seeing how Killzone only got 1.22 million so far while it outperformed Infamous on PS3.
It would need a big boost in PS4 sales and great reviews to manage the 3 million but I could see this happening by the end of the holiday season this year.

I agree. I think it will see a lot of attention as the best PS4 exclusive so far and will sell quite a bit more than the previous games in series. If it manages to get a meta of >90, I can see it reaching 5M with luck.

It's the first major exclusive for the PS4 after launch. It's been getting a ton of hype lately, and Infamous 2 was free on PSN so the fanbase would have grown. Right now I'm thinking 3.5m in sales at least.

OFfourse it will. InFamous 1+2 picked up free downloads on PS+, it's the first big exclusive post launch like OP says and advertising is nuts for it.

This was pretty obvious to me, looks way better than the other games. Should benefit from being an early exclusive also. I think it can do >3mill lifetime

Definitely. 4m+ seems like a strong possibility to me.

 It would be amazing to see the game do that well, plus it would finally put the franchise in the spotlight where it belongs. Amazing, but underrated series, and this looks fantastic.
