Wiiu party is selling ok at best, and I'm doubting just dance will be around forever. Two games doesn't really sound like a thriving genre to me.

Wii Party U will be over a million by now even on a small install base, and with MS pushing Kinect with every Xbone, motion isn't going anywhere.

You're right about motion gaming going nowhere, but for Nintendo it's a more grim story. I largely consider myself a fan of party games, Mario Party 2 is my favorite game ever made. However I bought Mario Party 9 last week over Wii Party U, why is that? Wii Party U is average, and very bland, and the minigames with the screen are pretty lame.

P.S. I think Nintendo is important still, a Mario Party X could do wonders for the WiiU.

So after all was said we concluded that nintendo is THAT important, but the industry would not collapse with them gone. Good moving on then.

1 million units is OK sales. Like I said. It's not doing great. And look at your wording. You say Microsoft is PUSHING kinect with the xbone. AKA forcing it on to people. It's very likely that they'll make an unbundled version.

It's only been out a few months, casual games have legs.

You deliberately misinterpret my word use. Many people are obviously fine with  Kinect being bundled, considering Xbone's respectable sales.

Game developers say that the window for profit is usually only about 1-3 months at this point. After that, the bulk of the sales are from pre-owned. Those aren't counted as new sales (obviously). It will maybe reach 1.2-1.5 million. That's not bad, but I wouldn't consider that huge.

And I was "deliberately misinterpreting" to prove a point. I bet most people would rather get a console for less than 400 without the stupid camera. But I guess some people would rather have a corporation call them stupid if they don't want it.

That's true for most games, but not Nintendo's, which sell new at full price for years. And it will sell much, much more than 1.5 million, just watch.

I'm not a fan of Kinect myself, I don't like it being bundled, but the fact that it is selling well with it...

None of the big three are THAT important. End of story. I have nothing else to contribute to this topic, so goodbye.

Nintendo games sell at full price for not just one year, but multiple?? WOW! That's amazing. Except for these few exceptions. ZombiU, lego city undercover, super luigi, new super mario bros, Pikmin 3 (possibly), Sonic lost world... I think you get the point. Don't say I'm misinterprettying what you're saying intentionally again. When you assign a numeric value to something, that's what people assume you mean. If you say years, I expect more than 2. You're the one being misleading in this context.

Also, the xbox one would probably being killing ps4 in north america if it had launched at a lower price with an optional sensor as an accessory. They basically just gave up every territory, and made the US a huge battle ground. Which it wouldn't be if the numbers were similar to last gen.

ZombiU, Sonic, LEGO City are not Nintendo games, they were just published by them. Nintendo's window for profit for their own software is more like 3 YEARS, not 3 months.

And Xbone wouldn't be selling well if people really had such an aversion to Kinect.
