Wow Pezus, your thread brings to light the hubris of your own kind, actually caring and feeling better about themselves that the lead is slightly bigger.

I tip my hat to you sir. We as leaders must acknowledge our camps good and bad points. So that they may move forward and better ourselves :)

Pure irnoy here. Didn't you post yesterday you felt good being on the side of a winning compnay because Ms was worth more?

Did you miss this?

Just because he tells you it's a source that has never  he's telling the truth, he's been trolling for years.

Why is everything MS do/say questionable these days to the point where some guy on a forum is auto believed?

Who was it who peddled the yield issues??

I think you're thinking of a different insider.

Did you miss his post history?

Not surprised at all, really.

Mort is a Sony guy. Unless Microsoft reveals a really low number in their report, I'm just going to assume he's wrong.

it's going to be really easy to prove/disprove and in pretty short order.

MS claims 3M as of Dec 31.    MS is legally obligated to provide correct shipment numbers in their financials.   We know MS had quite a bit of stock on the shelves (especially in europe).  as VGCzers we know retail channels can have upwards of ~1M units but with the limited amount of territories and that the US was somewhat supply contraint the end of the year channel probably had ~200K units.

shipment = sellthough + retail.

so if shipment = 3.0M we know they said sellthrough when it was actually shipment.

if shipment is 3.2M+ we know the number 3M number truely was sellthough

when to financials release?

You are also missing the point, why is MS always using spin and fudging numbers?

Oh, well yes I did. Guess this is a point where I can better myself in the future, as I just recently said above :).

Sony liked to fudge in the the early years of the PS3. What do you expect.....a corporation wants to make the best of things. No big deal.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Well, MS have lied twice recently about 360 sales.

I think the ship vs sold gap will be really high, tbh. The stock in some European stores is insane, it seems (and now in USA as well).

@seece: We just talked about this in another thread. Ethomaz remembered the exact numbers

They didn't lie. They tell you what they ship at that moment in time which is usually weeks after the Q has ended, so no they're not going to be the same.

I love how you "thought this all along" based on what? exactly what information do you have to come to the conclusion they've sold 2.8m but not 3m? You know you sound ridiculous right?

Exactly. Mort's been right a lot, but he's also been wrong plenty of times. I don't know whether or not he's telling the truth here, Microsoft could have easily fudged their number a bit, but it's a shame that Neogaf hails this guy as some sort of prophet. They pretty much take everything he says as fact.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
