He talks about it there. He knows theyre catching up and he wants the series to finish around the same time as he releases Dream of Spring.
Either way, Im pretty sure I read somewhere that he has it all already planned out and the show runners know whats going to happen if/when they do catch up and overtake him.
Season 4 is still Storm of Swords, so if we get 2 seasons per book from now on there should be more than enough time.
