HBO Announces Game of Thrones: Season 4 Premiere Date

Winter is coming... mid-spring!

At the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, HBO finally announced the premiere date for Game of Thrones: Season 4, revealing the acclaimed series will return on Sunday, April 6th at 9pm. That night will also see two other premieres, with Game of Thrones followed by the premiere of Veep: Season 3 and Silicon Valley, the new comedy about the computer industry from Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-head, King of the Hill, Office Space).

You lots that haven't read the books yet are in for a treat! Best book yet! Have to read further in the series though, not to mention watch season 3 on the telly.

Agreed. Up to Storm of Crows, right near the end.

Seeing it on the screen will be great. For those of us in Australia, we'll be getting it a day later! April 7th.

I cant wait! I bought a movie popcorn maker and cant wait to use it.

I guessing that this is going to be the best season yet given the books.

After watching the first season I immediately went out and bought all the books.

Both the books and the show are great and only differ when taking advantage of their respective mediums. Although the omission of the brave companions and Willas and Garlan Tyrell was rather disappointing.

Hopefully the winds of winter will be coming out this year as well.

Can't wait!
