You shouldn't but MS for some reasons wants to force you to us eit..on PS4 any mic you can sue voice. Just an MS ploy to try to sell kinect. Any mic can be used for voice. You realise it is just a MIC in kinect that is used for voice right?
First off can you stop creating long post trees? Second I already showed you. You see people take things in different ways when you type over the internet you said most don't care about the features of kinect like Voice control or facial recognition etc.... I take that as you thinking Kinect is useless.

Kinect Plays games? How? You got me there with takes Pictures though and Skype calling Loll It is a game machine but it does allot more which is nice, Why should you complain about something that cost £420 being more than just a gaming machine =/ Also IMO it is killing PS4 in games for Launch and this year also (IMO) these added features are just a bonus ontop off a great console |
Killing ps4 in games lol, no. Sont has way more cming then MS does, sony's first party speaks for itself.

I'm sure most realize that. If you don't want to use Kinect you don't have to and there are alternatives to Xbox One (PS4 and Wii U).
I say come over and play! But you might need to borrow the Doctor's little Blue police box to get here. Oh, and bring snacks.
Yes, voice and video needs to be calibrated the first time. Just like how you adjust your mirrors and seat in your car - but you just have to do it once. And you have to learn how it wants you to say things:
"Xbox, goto netflix" works great. But "Xbox, um, um, netflix," doesn't work.
"Xbox, snap Skype" works great. But "Xbox, hey, would you open Skype for me and put it on the side." doesn't.
Plus, the controller. It's a really nice controller.
This thread will really help. For over a month, I've been in the store staring at the Xbox One and about to buy it. I was watching a kid play Forza 5 today and the game looked fantastic....but I'm no sim racer fan. If Dead Rising 3 didn't look like a big pile of poo (I hear it's fun but when I buy a new console, I want a graphical showcase) that would have been the game to get. Ryse looks great but I'm a little worried about the reviews.
Maybe tomorrow....I know it's gonna happen. I have the money, no GF to hide my purchases from and virtually no willpower. I just need the motivation.

That was a brilliant explanation Zappy, Especially the controller part =P Lollol but it is true.... |
Thanks!
It's wierd, I see videos of people complaining that it doesn't understand whatever they bable. Just like like any other computer - you have to be clear with it what you want and it will do it.
It reminds me of the people that would raise their mouse into the air, or put in on the monitor and get angry when it didn't work. (Yes, I have helped these people.)

That jet ski game from Kinect Sports looks like a killer to me. I was watching the video last night on my Xbox 360 and thinking how great it looked. Makes me want a new Wave Race sooooooooo bad! It's not out yet, though.

It's actually surprisingly fun and has a catchy happy theme song.
I would say go check it out at your local Microsoft Store if you have one.
